Steven DeNure President, Chief Operating Officer, DHX Media Ltd.

Steven DeNure, President and Chief Operating Officer of DHX Media, is responsible for overseeing overall operations of DHX Media and its subsidiaries. Mr. DeNure also serves as Executive Producer on many of the company’s television and interactive media projects. Mr. DeNure co-founded Decode Entertainment in 1997 and in 2003 merged the operations of Decode with Halifax Film to create DHX Media.

Prior to founding Decode, Mr. DeNure was at Alliance Communications Corporation for more than 10 years and served in a number of senior positions including President of Alliance Productions and President of Alliance Multimedia. During his tenure at Alliance Communications Corporation, he was involved in the development, financing and production of all television and feature film projects, including notable projects such as DUE SOUTH, NORTH OF 60, ENG, and BLACKROBE, and was responsible for the animation division, music-publishing division (TMP), and for merchandising and licensing.

Mr. DeNure is a pioneer in CGI animation, having acted as Executive Producer of the groundbreaking Reboot and Beast Wars animation series. Mr. DeNure serves on the board of the Canadian Film Centre as Vice Chair and is past Vice Chair of ACT, the Alliance for Children’s Television. Mr. DeNure graduated from Simon Fraser University with a BA in Economics & Business Administration.

Anne Loi Senior Vice-President

Anne is responsible for overseeing finance, business affairs, office management, interactive development, information technology and human resources for the company. Her duties also include development of long term plans, arranging bank financing for Decode's productions and exploring growth opportunities. Prior to joining DECODE, Anne was Vice President of Financial Strategy at Extend Media and prior to that, Director of Finance at Interactive Media Group.

Joan Fisher Vice-President, Legal & Business Affairs

Joan has been legal counsel for DECODE since its inception. She has been a lawyer for 28 years and has practiced entertainment law exclusively for the past 25 years. She began her career as in-house counsel for the feature film company, Quadrant Films Limited, and went on to specialize in entertainment law with Cassels, Brock in Toronto. Joan has had her own entertainment practice and for two of those years rendered legal and business affairs services to Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc. She oversees all legal aspects of development, distribution, financing and exploitation of DECODE programming.

Josh Scherba Senior Vice-President, Distribution

Josh Scherba, SVP, Distribution joined DECODE Enterprises in 2000.  DECODE is a leading international supplier of television programming, with an emphasis on children, family and youth markets.  Scherba oversees DECODE Enterprises, the distribution arm of DHX Media with a catalog that includes programming from all DHX Media's production companies (DECODE Entertainment, Studio B Productions and Halifax Film) as well as third party properties.  In this role, he leads the sales, marketing, public relations and distribution operations teams.  In addition he directly manages broadcaster sales for the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and Australia.
