COMPANY OVERVIEW

DECODE Entertainment Inc. has grown to become one of the largest and most important international suppliers of television and interactive programming for children and youth.

Since its inception in 1997, DECODE has become a sought-after supplier and co-producer thanks to its reputation of producing distinctive shows that stand out in an increasingly competitive market. To date, the company has concluded almost 1500 television and home entertainment license agreements with more than 300 clients worldwide. Most of its revenues come from this extensive international customer base, thus ensuring DECODE will continue to enjoy significant future growth.

In 1999, the company's Angela Anaconda series achieved worldwide critical acclaim, establishing DECODE as an up-and-coming company. This early success has been followed by more than 30 series produced or co-produced by the company, including the preschool hit, SUPER WHY (in association with  Out Of The Blue Enterprises), THE LATEST BUZZ and DIRTGIRLWORLD .


In 2006, DECODE merged with The Halifax Film Company to create DHX Media Inc., a public company which trades on the TSX in Toronto.  A year later , DHX acquired the acclaimed Vancouver animation studio, Studio B, consolidating the company’s position as one of the world’s most important suppliers of programming for children and youth. In 2010, DHX Media opened DHX USA in Los Angeles, CA. DECODE ENTERPRISES, DHX’s distribution subsidiary, handles worldwide television and home entertainment sales and rights management for the DHX production companies,  DECODE Entertainment, Halifax Film and Studio B.
